“We’re going to be peaceful”: Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, South Haven join global protests

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Several West Michigan communities are preparing to join an expected 1,800 global protests this weekend against perceived tyranny in the United States government.

Demonstrations of the ‘No Kings’ movement, a ‘peaceful resistance to tyranny’ organized by local chapters of the group Indivisible, include:

  4. South Haven
  5. Grand Haven
  6. Holland
  7. St. Joseph
  8. Muskegon
  9. Paw Paw
  10. Niles
  11. Three Rivers
  12. Hastings
  13. Lowell

Organizers from Indivisible Greater Kalamazoo told News Channel 3 that they are preparing for thousands of protesters to line Drake Road on Saturday, spreading a loud, but peaceful message to the Trump administration: “There are no kings in America.”…
