Thousands of classic cars to pass through Branch County on Thursday

COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Drivers should expect heavier traffic than normal through Branch County on Thursday, as the 31st Annual HOT ROD Power Tour will make its way from west to east on US-12 rolling through Bronson, Coldwater, and then Quincy as the tour makes its way to a stop in Monroe.

Whats dubbed as the world’s largest traveling car show will have thousands of classic automobiles as it passes through part of St. Joseph County and Branch County. The vehicles will first arrive in Sturgis from Indiana 9/Chicago Street and then turn east on US-12 and then into Bronson.

No exact times have been announced, but it’s expected to be mid to late morning through possibly early afternoon as they will be in packs of 50 to 100 cars at a time. It’s worth pointing out that this is not a parade, and the cars will be obeying traffic laws including stopping at red lights…
