Aggravated assault at an Islamic Center in Frisco sparks police investigation, with one suspect facing serious charges. The Frisco Police Department reports that last Saturday, around 10:58 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Islamic Center of Frisco (ICF) at 11137 Frisco Street, following reports of a stabbing at the site. The alleged perpetrator, identified as Malik Davis, 26, attacked a uniformed security guard who was in the midst of prayer, according to the Frisco Police Department.
The caller’s description of the suspect led police to detain Davis quickly upon arrival. Despite taking the guard’s firearm during the altercation, Davis disposed of the weapon before police intervention. The victim, who has not been named publicly, sustained severe lacerations to his head and hand but has since been released from local hospital care. Davis is currently held on charges of Aggravated Assault Against a Security Officer and Theft of a Firearm, with a total bond set at $60,000.
