MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — Angela Weaver will be allowed to return to work for the Mobile County Public School System in a non-bus driver role after the school board accepted a settlement agreement proposed by Weaver’s attorneys on Tuesday.
Weaver was driving students home on an MCPSS school bus in February when the bus veered off the road, moved back on to the road, and overturned into a ditch on Mason Ferry Road.
According to Thomas Loper, who represents Weaver, the agreement states she will be allowed to work as a bus aide for the school system with no reduction in pay. After one year, MCPSS will review Weaver’s record to determine if she is able to take on a driver role again…
