San Pat Adult Literacy Council celebrates GED graduates

A group of adults in San Patricio County recently celebrated the completion of their General Educational Development (GED) degree thanks to classes offered by the San Patricio County Adult Literacy Council (SPCALC).

On June 5, the SPCALC gathered to celebrate the graduation ceremony of its 2025 GED graduates, along with the graduates’ friends and family at the Gregory Community Center in Gregory. The ceremony, sponsored by Cheniere, was meant to celebrate the accomplishment with the graduates’ loved ones.

The SPCALC has been offering free literacy education to students in San Patricio County for nearly 30 years, helping students get their GED as well as providing English as Second Language (ESL) classes.
