A 48-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor charge of improperly using an emergency reporting system after repeatedly dialing 911, according to court records and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
A sheriff’s deputy first responded by phone at about 3 a.m. on Monday to a 911 call from Donald Anthony Dyson, according to Sgt. Tim Wallace, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
“Dyson was unable to articulate an emergency and was advised not to call 911 unless there was an emergency,” Wallace said in an email. “He was advised this several more times as he proceeded to call 911 more than 10 times, with no apparent emergency.”…
