Minivan driver charged in hit-and-run collision with motorcyclist removed ankle monitor, authorities say

The 41-year-old man accused of ramming his minivan into a motorcyclist and driving off on U.S. 26 last month is now accused of violating his pre-trial release agreement by removing his GPS ankle monitor.

On Monday, authorities issued a warrant for the re-arrest of Samir Helio Pazzoto-Filho, who has been charged with attempted murder in the May 5 hit-and-run collision between Oregon 217 and Cedar Hills Boulevard.

After his initial arrest last month, Pazzoto-Filho paid $25,000 to be released from jail and was required to be on house arrest and wear an ankle monitor. He also had to live with a responsible third party…
