INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Two big companies that make big trucks go want to combine their resources.
Indianapolis-based Allison Transmission Holdings plans to acquire Dana Inc.’s off-highway business for $2.7 billion.
Dana’s off-highway business provides drive and motion systems for heavy-duty vehicles used in agriculture, construction, mining and forestry. It makes axles, transmissions, electronic controls, and other components designed for customized applications, both conventional and electrified, in off-highway equipment.
