KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A 25-year-old woman arrested for allegedly stealing a car with an 8-month-old in the backseat has been charged.
Wednesday, Shyann Sherelle Sanchez was arraigned in Kalamazoo County court on the following charges, according to documents obtained by News Channel 3:
- Unlawful imprisonment: felony punishable by up to 15 years
- Child abandonment: felony punishable by up to 10 years
- Unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle: felony punishable by not more than five years, suspends drivers license one year
Sanchez was also separately charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a police officer, a felony punishable by no more than two years in prison.
Her bond was set at $350,000 cash/surety in total: $250,000 for the first three charges and $100,000 for the assault charge, documents detailed.
