Funeral arrangements announced for LMPD Detective

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Louisville Metro Police Detective Michelle Rusch passed away after a fierce battle with cancer. Though officials have not announced a public memorial, Rusch’s arrangements are now available.

Rusch worked with the department for over ten years and served as a member of LMPD’s Crimes Against Children Unit.

“Her tireless work on behalf of child victims of abuse was recently recognized by the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Kentucky as a Legendary Partner of 2025 which was presented by the Kentucky Attorney General, a powerful reminder of the lives she touched and the difference she made,” reads a tribute on the Louisville Metro Police Foundation’s Facebook page…
