RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The City of Richmond hosted Senior Day in the Park Thursday, an opportunity for adults 55 and older to kick off the summer with free activities.
Performances from Richmond artists like BooCoo got seniors up and dancing. Another activity provided an opportunity for seated exercise.
Tamara Jenkins with the City of Richmond said Parks and Recreation likes to support residents of all ages.
“Seniors love this,” Jenkins said. “They can just fellowship and see friends that they haven’t seen in a while. For anyone that might be in a senior living assistance facility, it’s a chance for them to come out and see other folks and have a good time.”…
