BATON ROUGE — Nearly nine months after Teressa Calligan was gunned down in her vehicle, a third suspect has been arrested in connection with the brazen shooting that claimed the life of beloved educator Teressa Calligan. Robert Lewis, 19, is now charged with first-degree murder, joining two others already behind bars for their alleged roles in the September 2024 killing.

The Baton Rouge Police Department confirmed Lewis’ arrest Wednesday, marking another major development in a disturbing case. On Tuesday, Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives announced the arrest of 20-year-old Roger Parker, who was the second person charged in the September 15, 2024, killing.
