Johnson Co. Sheriff’s deputy involved in morning crash

SWISHER, Iowa (KCRG) – A driver from Iowa City has been cited after crashing into a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office vehicle Thursday morning.

The sheriff’s office says at 7:20 a.m., the deputy was driving northbound in the 1300-block of Highway 965 near Swisher. A car driven by 46-year-old Darwin Tinnian of Iowa City was driving southbound when he made an improper u-turn in a driveway while attempting turn around. The sheriff’s office says Tinnian’s car broadsided the deputy’s vehicle in the northbound lane.

Neither the deputy or Tinnian were injured…
