TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS12) — A lawsuit filed by a former state employee offers new insight into the days after the state-led initiative to allow renovations at state parks, including golf courses at Jonathan Dickinson State Park, became public.
The wrongful termination lawsuit was filed by James Gaddis who served as the Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Planning Consultant in the agency’s Office of Park Planning for nearly two and a half years, until August 31, 2024, when he was fired.
Gaddis alleges his termination was the direct result of him making public the then-undisclosed proposals and slipping a memo into the documents that he leaked to the media…
