Cedar Rapids man arrested after leading police on chase, reaching speeds over 100 mph

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Iowa’s News Now) — A high-speed chase, that exceeded 100 mph, ended with the arrest of a Cedar Rapids man late Thursday night.

The chase started after a Linn County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over 31-year-old David Abrams Jr. for speeding on Highway 30 near I-380 just after 9:40 p.m.

Abrams initially stopped but then sped away and led deputies on a chase that reached speeds over 100 mph…
