For a second summer in a row there will be no lifeguards at Anchorage lakes
The city has more than a dozen vacancies for mostly part time lifeguard positions, all of which are budgeted. The shortage has also impacted indoor programs including closing the West pool on Mondays and open swims at Dimond.
