Boston and Lynn Men Charged in Violent Assault with a Brick Outside Revere Ice Cream Shop

Two men appeared in Chelsea District Court following an assault outside a Revere ice cream shop, according to Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden. Leonard Lomax, 33, of Boston, and Jeffery Satterwhite, 35, of Lynn, were charged in connection with a May 4 attack near Twist N’ Shake that left a 33-year-old man with facial fractures and a brain bleed.

According to the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office, Lomax faces charges of assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (brick), and malicious destruction of property over $1,200. Despite a criminal record dating back to 2009 and an open drug-related case, Judge Kimberly Foster released Lomax on personal recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court on July 23.

Surveillance footage reviewed by a State Police trooper from the Metro Gang Unit showed Lomax and Satterwhite damaging a vehicle and assaulting the victim. Additional footage and a License Plate Reader helped identify Satterwhite, and the victim later confirmed both suspects from a photo array…
