An off-duty sheriff’s deputy thwarted a jewelry-store robbery in North Charleston, SC.
The heist happened Tuesday night at Great American Jewelry in Northwoods Mall, according to the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office. Alexander McKinnon, a master deputy and school resource officer with the department, was off-duty and shopping at REEDS Jewelers in the mall.
