Tennessee – The Tennessee Department of Correction marked a significant milestone on Friday by graduating its largest class of new correctional officers in over three years. Basic Correctional Officer Training class 510-25, consisting of 111 cadets, completed their six-week program at the Tennessee Correction Academy, ready to begin their duties across the state’s correctional facilities.
Commissioner Frank Strada highlighted the importance of this achievement, noting that it reflects the department’s dedication to strengthening its workforce. “This is the largest class we’ve had since I became Commissioner and it shows our commitment to the public and to our current staff,” Strada said.
