Kent County considers plan to demo old hospital for new building

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Kent County is considering a plan to construct a new building and move the majority of its staff out of downtown Grand Rapids.

The plan would demolish this former Kent Community Hospital building on Fuller Avenue just north of I-196. The property is near the Kent County Health Department, Animal Shelter and Sheriff’s Office.

The now vacant site could become the main hub for county services…
