MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) – Thunderstorms continue to pop up across the area producing heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning. Storms should come to an end overnight. It will be warm and humid with overnight lows in the mid 70s.
Sunday will feature another day with scattered thunderstorms throughout the area. The day will start out with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. As we get into the late morning hours, storms will first fire up near the coast. These storms will produce torrential rainfall, lightning and gusty winds across the area. These storms will continue to push inland with the sea breeze. This will eventually make it into the Pee Dee and border belt. Highs will be in the mid to upper 80s across the Grand Strand. Low 90s inland.
Storms will continue through the first part of the week, more like a rinse and repeat. Some areas could pick up a lot of rain, where other areas will not see as much.
