San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies executed a series of search warrants resulting in the arrest of four individuals on multiple drug-related charges. Officials said the series of arrests began with a traffic stop that revealed an outstanding felony warrant for Regina Alanis, a 22-year-old from Mentone, California. The discovery of a significant amount of methamphetamine during the stop spurred further investigation.
The deputies next searched a Redlands residence Alanis shared with James Chase, 54, who was already in custody on a probation violation. There, they found 245 fentanyl pills, and Alanis was arrested for possession of narcotics for sale, according to a statement obtained by San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department. Chase is set to face additional charges stemming from the drugs found at the shared residence.
The investigation extended to another residence on Mountain View Avenue in Loma Linda, where deputies carried out another search warrant. This raid resulted in the arrests of Jacob Burns, 38, of Loma Linda, and Christian Winkler, 32, also from Loma Linda.
