SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Krystal Crawford, the new CEO of the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, talked with WSAV News 3 about overseeing troops in 125 counties — 122 in Georgia, 2 in South Carolina and one in Alabama.
WSAV: What do you want people to know about the Girl Scouts as you step into this new role?
Krystal Crawford: I want people to know my vision is bold. I want people to know how valuable Girl Scout power is. I want girls to know the legacy of the Girl Scout alumni that have come before them. Astronauts have been Girl Scouts. Almost 80 percent of our female sitting state senators are Girl Scouts. There’s so much power and legacy. I want people to know, especially little girls, [the Girls Scouts] is a place where you can be your authentic self. You’re going to get the leadership tools to be anything that you could ever dream and even make those dreams bigger…
