1 dead , 1 injured in head-on collision southeast of Amarillo

RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — One man is dead and another was injured following a two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Randall County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Texas DPS reports that the crash occurred at around 10:03 p.m. on FM 1151, about four miles southeast of Amarillo. DPS officials said a 1998 Chevrolet GMT 400, driven by 74-year-old Julio Guerra of Amarillo, was traveling northbound when it veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a 2018 Ford F-150.

Guerra, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment…
