EUGENE, Ore– While Oregon Track & Field would not bring home a national title this year as a team for the men or women, finishing in 11th & 10th respectively, one athlete was able to become a national champion.
Her name is Aaliyah McCormick. A junior standout sprinter in the women’s 100-meter hurdles who made history on the final day of competition at the 2025 NCAA Track & Field Outdoor Championships.
With a final time of 12.81 when she crossed the finish line on Saturday, McCormick would make her way down the track smiling, before eventually stopping near the athlete exit, overcome with emotion…
