In observance of Juneteenth, a significant date in the nation’s history, the City of Memphis will close government offices next Wednesday, June 19. As a result, residents who rely on city trash collection services should be aware of adjustments to the pickup schedule. According to the city’s announcement, collection services will be delayed by one day in recognition of the holiday.
Residents who normally place their trash carts at the curb on Thursday should do so instead on Friday, June 20, as collection will be shifted due to the holiday.
