AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Gas prices in Amarillo fell by 1.2 cents per gallon in the last week to reach an average of $2.55/gallon on Monday, according to the latest report from GasBuddy. Those prices were noted as 9 cents lower than a month ago and 31.6 cents lower than one year ago.
GasBuddy reported the cheapest station in Amarillo on Sunday was priced at $2.32/gallon while the most expensive was $2.80/gallon, a difference of 48 cents. The lowest price in Texas on Sunday was $2.09/gallon while the most expensive was $3.49/gallon, a difference of $1.40.
Nationally, the average price of gas has risen 1.1 cents from last week, averaging $3.08/gallon on Monday. That national average was noted as down 9.5 cents from a month ago and 32.7 cents lower than a year ago.
