MADISON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) updated the dates for the intermittent closures on Interstate 55 in Madison.
According to MDOT, the northbound lanes of I-55 at the State Route 463 interchange in Madison will be closed during 30-minute intervals between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. for five nights:
- Thursday, June 19
- Friday, June 20
- Monday, June 23
- Tuesday, June 24
- Wednesday, June 25
Crews will hang beams for the new Reunion Parkway bridge over I-55 northbound during the closure intervals.
During the closure intervals, officials said drivers should slow down, anticipate a stop in traffic and if necessary, seek an alternate route.Warning signs will be in place leading up to the work to alert drivers of the temporary closures.
