Boston NAACP calls for pause on White Stadium renovation

Boston’s branch of the NAACP called Monday for an “immediate halt” to the reconstruction of White Stadium, a pricey and contentious project to redevelop a historic but crumbling facility in the city’s historic Franklin Park.

The $200 million project would redevelop the stadium into the new home of Boston’s incoming professional women’s soccer team. The city has estimated its share of the project at $90 million. But an exact figure has not been determined

Outside of team games and practices, the complex would be open to the public and Boston Public Schools…
