‘Bridge the gap’: Nashville mayor creates office to help citizens grow financially

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell has announced the creation of a Mayor’s Office of Financial Empowerment.

The creation of this office is through a grant from the national nonprofit organization, Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund.

The new office will work to improve the quality of life and make it easier for citizens to live in Nashville and elevate services for them, including financial counseling, finding opportunities to build wealth, and access to reasonably priced banking options…
