MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Dane County officials are warning of a scam involving those who have zoning and land use applications submitted to the county’s Zoning and Land Regulation Committee.
The County explained that several applicants and agents listed on a June 10 agenda from the committee received emails falsely claiming to be from the Dane County Planning Commission. These emails came from [email protected], which is not an official email address, and had fake invoices requesting payment.
