‘It just needs to be dealt with’: Family of Cynthia Hoffman appears for hearing of man who pleaded guilty in connection with her death

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The man prosecutors say pulled the trigger in the brutal 2019 shooting death of 19-year-old Cynthia Hoffman was in a status hearing on Monday, to confirm with attorneys that his sentencing is still on track for August.

Hoffman’s uncles, Donald and Mike Hoffman, were present in court and told Alaska’s News Source the family has waited long enough for 22-year-old Kayden McIntosh to be sentenced.

“It just needs to be dealt with,” Donald Hoffman said. “It’s the last guy, the person, the main shooter. He’s had years and years to be set up for this, and the judge has been really patient with him, but his patience is running out. We just want to get this over with, have closure, so we can move on with our lives.”…
