GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A South Carolina man has been sentenced to a total of 272 months in prison for attempted extortion, stalking, and wire fraud, which resulted in the death of a 22-year-old.
36-year-old Glenn Daeward Boyd was serving a sentence at a prison in South Carolina for voluntary manslaughter, assault with intent to kill, assaulting a correctional employee, and inciting a riot.
Boyd pretended to be an 18-year-old girl from Grand Rapids named “Jad” on the dating app “Plenty of Fish.”
