MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — This week, about twenty officers with the Mobile Police Department, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, and Mobile County Jail are undergoing Crisis Response Intervention Training.
It is a 40-hour officer safety course that helps participants learn how to engage with people struggling with mental illness to ensure a better outcome for all involved.
