Verdict reached in Horry County murder trial of Meagan Jackson

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The state and defense have rested their case and a verdict has been reached in the Horry County murder trial of Meagan Jackson, a woman accused of killing the father of her four children in 2020.

A verdict was reached just before 2:15 p.m. after more than two hours of deliberations.

Court picked up at 9:35 a.m. Tuesday, and the prosecution rested its case. Jackson, who faces a murder charge in the death of Gregory Rice, did not testify…
