Officers checking on a fallen man found a body still holding a dog’s leash, California police said.
The man, in his 40s, was found on his back at 8:23 a.m. Saturday, June 14, San Leandro police said in a June 16 news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Coroner’s officials found he had been shot in the back, police said. The man’s identity has not been publicly released…
