A weather pattern is moving into northern Illinois and southeastern Wisconsin that will bring severe thunderstorms over the next couple of days, some could be damaging.
Damaging Winds and Large Hail Possible Through Midweek
According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, strong to severe storms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and torrential rainfall, particularly in the late afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday (6/17) and Wednesday (6/18).
The Rockford region has a chance of showers before 3 pm on Tuesday, but a higher chance of strong storms is likely after 4 pm, according to the National Weather Service forecast.
Highs on Tuesday are expected to be near 90, with thunderstorms again possible after 10 pm on Tuesday, according to the latest NWS predictions.
