LEBANON, Ore. — A serious motor vehicle collision back on July 12 downed powerlines that ultimately sparked a brush fire, according to the Lebanon Fire District (LFD).
LFD says crews responded to the crash in the 39000 block of Lacomb Drive around 7:32 p.m. When they arrived on scene they found two severely damaged vehicles, one of which was overturned with occupants still trapped inside.
According to the fire district, firefighters were unable to begin rescue efforts until utility workers could turn off the power to the downed lines. Once confirmed that the power had been shut off, crews were able to free those trapped inside the overturned vehicle and extinguish the brush fire…
