Strahan Says Goodbye to GMA Studio

Additional Coverage:

After nearly 26 years at its Times Square location, Good Morning America has moved to a new studio in Hudson Square. Among those bidding a fond farewell to the old space was Michael Strahan, who shared a final walk-through of the studio with viewers.

Strahan, who recently departed his role as host of The $100,000 Pyramid and is reportedly nearing a contract extension with GMA, took viewers on a behind-the-scenes tour of the soon-to-be-vacated studio. He visited his dressing room and other areas, interacting with colleagues and reminiscing about his time on the show.

“The final walk at GMA Times Square studio,” he posted. “Time to commute downtown.”

In a personal video, Strahan shared some of the mementos he’d collected during his time at the Times Square studio. “You don’t realize how much you accumulate until you’ve got to pack it up,” he remarked, highlighting items with special meaning.

Among these were a photo with former New York Giants coach Tom Coughlin and a sympathy card from Coughlin’s wife’s funeral. “This man changed my life,” Strahan shared.

He also showed off a personalized bobblehead (featuring a colleague’s face), a Snoop Dogg snow globe, and a Moai statue gifted to him during a trip to Easter Island to report on microplastics in the ocean.
