They Kept Children in a House Filled With Feces and Rotten Food—Police Couldn’t Fathom the Horrific Scene

In Harrodsburg, Kentucky, the local authorities have taken three adults into custody following an incredibly disturbing find. These police officers, who have seen a lot in their time, walked into a house that was so messy and unsafe that they’re calling it the absolute worst living conditions they’ve ever come across.

On the night of June 10, the Harrodsburg Police Department went in with a search warrant to a home on Allah Avenue. What they found inside was three poor kids, all of them younger than 12, and another person with developmental disability, all of them living in a place that no one should ever have to live in.

The house was a horror show, with floors plastered in feces and every nook and cranny packed with moldy food and garbage. The smell was unbearable, like a mix of ammonia and excrement, and it hit the cops as soon as they walked in. The fridge was a nightmare, sealed shut and buzzing with cockroaches, and “none of the food (…) in the house was safe to eat.”…
