Police seek ‘armed and dangerous’ father of missing Tennessee girl

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Arrest warrants have been issued for the father of a Tennessee girl who has not been seen in weeks.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Western District of Tennessee said warrants were issued for Jose Inocencio Fraire Chavez, 39, who is in the U.S. illegally, in connection with incidents that occurred in Obion County, Tenn.

The FBI, U.S. Marshals Service and Immigration and Customs Enforcement are coordinating with local and state authorities to find Chavez and his 7-year-old daughter, Tah Yah Yona Chavez, who have not been seen in the area since May 2.
