STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Five members of the NYPD from Staten Island were recognized for their admirable work during the Police Officer of the Month ceremony on Tuesday afternoon.
The law enforcement officers stood proud as precinct commanders shared their laudable feats with family members and fellow colleagues alike. The honorees were each recognized for a specific response over the course of the first three months of the year, cuffing repeat offenders and taking in alleged gang members.
The ceremony was hosted by the NYPD and the Advance/SILive.com at the newspaper’s office in Bloomfield.
