E. coli testing in Toledo creeks, suspect in deputy death arraigned and budget negotiations continue

In an update late Monday, Toledo city officials said weekend rain had caused more sewer overflows, including into Delaware Creek, which is one of the current areas being tested for E. coli.

The attorney for the man accused of shooting and killing Morrow County Sheriff Deputy Daniel Sherrer on Memorial Day entered a plea of not guilty on all charges at an arraignment hearing Tuesday morning. His bond has been set at $9 million.

Budget negotiations are underway between leaders in the Ohio House and Senate. They need to agree on a plan that will eventually get signed by Gov. Mike DeWine, R-OH.
