Fire works can now be used in unincorporated Linn County on July 3 in accordance with the updated state law.
The updated law allows cities and county boards of supervisors to prohibit or limit the use of fireworks on any day other than July 3, July 4, or December 31.
In accordance with state law, in unincorporated areas of Linn County, the use of consumer fireworks is allowed on the following dates/times only:
- July 3 from 9 a.m.-10 p.m.
- July 4 from 9 a.m.-11 p.m.
- December 31 from 9 a.m.-12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1
