ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Security video captures the moments a man and a 13-year-old rob a man in southeast Albuquerque. The Albuquerque Police Department says Angelo Ray and the teen threatening a man with a knife near the Smoke City smoke shop.

On June 8, 2025, a man was walking with a bike near the smoke shop. A few second later a man, who police say is Ray, and the teen can be seen following the victim. The older suspect confronts the man with the bike, who tries to walk away, but the suspect lunges and takes him to the ground. While this is happening, a woman identified as Tatiana Vigil, can be seen walking into the video. Police say the woman is the teen’s mother. The video shows the teen looking over at the woman before stabbing the victim in the leg. Police say ray and the teen then took $250 and the bike before walking away. According to APD, Vigil tried to downplay her son’s role in the incident when he was arrested. Ray and the teen are being held in connection to the robbery.
Vigil is facing robbery charges for a separate incident on June 5. Police say security video caught her and her son beating up a man and stealing his wallet. Detectives believe Ray and the teen may be responsible for another robbery just hours before. The victim was stabbed by two people matching their description and had his groceries stolen…
