LEBANON, Ore. (KOIN) — A small brush fire near an old mill site in Lebanon grew to about 6 acres before it was contained by crews on Tuesday night, according to officials.

Lebanon firefighters responded to what they thought was a small brush fire, only to discover one to two acres burning, according to Lebanon Fire District authorities.

Officials say crews received reports of heavy smoke seen from Oak Street around 8:50 p.m., and firefighters gained access to the area through a locked gate off Milton Street where they discovered several acres ablaze…
