BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Amherst and Williamsville Central School Districts announced on Wednesday that its elementary schools will have two half days next week due to high temperatures.
The half days will take place on Monday, June 23, and Tuesday, June 24. All of the schools’ “Just for Kids” program in the morning will still occur, but the afternoon program is canceled at both schools.
According to the National Weather Service, temperatures on those days are predicted to reach a high of 89 and 90 degrees.
