Evansville, Ind (WEHT) – The Evansville Civic Theater is moving back into its old home on the corner of Fulton & Columbia Avenue. The renovation project was made possible by Evansville native Lucas Neuffer, who has invested in the property. The Civic Theater’s Board of Directors approached Neuffer about acquiring the building serval months ago.
Prior to this reopening, the theater had sat vacant for over three years after being in serve since 1974. During that time, it moved back to Bosse High School, where it was originally founded in 1925.
For Neuffer explained how this endeavor hit close to home saying, ” I live in the neighborhood and have invested in the neighborhood. So, I purchased the theater to basically preserve the neighborhood and revitalize the theatre.”…
