(KRON) — A kitten was rescued by animal control officers after being wedged in the engine of a car, said the Alameda Police Department.
The incident happened last week in the parking lot of an OfficeMax location. The kitten was safely coaxed out of the tight spot by the officers then taken for treatment to a local vet. The rescued furball is now in the care of the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter.
“That’s not the kind of purr you want to hear under your vehicle’s hood,” said APD in a social media post.
Officials say this time of year is not a bad idea to check your car for any possible visitors before you drive away…
