Attorney for teacher charged in child ethanol poisoning case files motion asking if she can go on a trip to the Bahamas

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The attorney for the Mobile County teacher accused of giving her student a drink containing ethanol is asking the court for a unique request.

Court records show Tracy Walker’s attorney filed a motion asking the judge to let her go on a six-day, pre-paid and pre-scheduled trip to the Bahamas in July.

Her attorney argues the trip was scheduled and paid for prior to Walker’s arrest and that Walker ‘has retained counsel and is not a flight risk nor a danger to the community.’…
